Coconut Bacon is a meat and dairy bacon alternative made with dehydrated coconut flakes. It is great for making hipster style breakfasts like avocado on toast. Try it in sandwiches toasties or as a topping for pasta, baked potatoes, and salads. Have a look at the recipe section for more ideas.
We make our coconut bacon in an Excalibur Dehydrator so it’s slowly dehydrated at low temperatures.
Storage, Love and Care.
Just like cornflakes if you leave the package open the coconut bacon will get soggy
It can be kept on a shelf. Use within a month of opening.
Re seal pack after use. If it does get soggy you can crisp it up by putting it in the oven for a couple of minutes. Be careful though coconut burns fast.
If you want your coconut bacon to be served warm you can warm it for a couple of seconds in a pan with a small amount of oil or coconut oil.
